IT Home reported on August 6 that Apple issued an announcement today, announcing that it will stop signing the iOS 17.5.1 system, which means that users who have upgraded to a higher version will no longer be able to downgrade on their own.

Apple typically blocks users from installing older versions of iOS to encourage customers to keep their operating system up to date and prevent downgrades to older, less secure versions of the iPhone operating system.

IT Home Note: Apple initially released the official version of iOS 17.5.1 update on May 21, and then re-released the iPadOS 17.5.1 update for iPad 10 users on June 4.

This update only fixes some important bugs and addresses an issue where, in rare cases, deleted photos could reappear in the Photos library due to database corruption.
