According to statistics provided by Counterpoint Research, Apple and Samsung still dominated the global best-selling models in the second quarter of 2024, occupying 9 seats in the top ten best-selling models; Xiaomi achieved a breakthrough performance in the quarter and successfully squeezed into the TOP10 list of best-selling models.

According to the data, Apple's iPhone 15 series is the best-selling model of the quarter. The three models of iPhone 15/iPhone 15 Pro Max/iPhone 15 Pro account for 10.9% of global sales, and iPhone 14 accounts for 1.6% of sales. The iPhone 15 Plus did not make the top ten list, which may be the reason why Apple is determined to cancel the Plus model.

For Samsung, the more popular models are the low-end Galaxy A15/A55/A05, while the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra ranks ninth with a share of 1.4%.

Xiaomi 13C 4G ranked eighth with a share of 1.5%. In addition, Samsung also has a 4G mobile phone ranked in the top ten. Obviously, in the current global mobile phone market, 4G mobile phones still have good demand. Outside of the Chinese, North American and European markets, mobile phone brands cannot give up for the time being.

It is worth noting that in the TOP10 list, although the number of high-end mobile phones remains at 5, their share has dropped by 1.5%. On the one hand, the reason is that the Galaxy S24 Ultra was released in advance in January and missed its initial strong sales period in the second quarter. On the other hand, the sales of the iPhone 15 series have been sluggish, especially in the Chinese market.
