According to the timeline previously announced by Huawei, HarmonyOS NEXT will launch the first batch of public beta tests in August.

Among them, models such as the Mate 60 series, Mate X5 series, and MatePad Pro 13.2 inches are expected to be the first to be supported.

As the public beta is approaching, many apps have completed the development of HarmonyOS NEXT native applications.

According to Huawei's official introduction, four apps under Midea Group - Midea Home, Midea Cloud Sales, Service Midea Tong and Retail Assistant - have completed the development of core functions of Hongmeng native applications and are open to targeted invitation testing.

Among them, the "Midea Home" App can connect all Midea's brands as well as smart home appliances and smart home devices that have joined the ecological chain.

Midea Meiju HarmonyOS native applications, combined with the innovative AI capabilities of HarmonyOS NEXT, use multi-dimensional user environment perception as feature input to achieve accurate understanding of user intentions, and then connect with specific functions provided by applications or lightweight services.

For example: use NFC to connect to the network, and tap to pull up the universal card to control home appliances. This greatly simplifies the steps of operating smart home devices through the App and solves the problem of fragmented smart home experience.

Meiyunxiao, Service Mideatong, and Retail Assistant are three apps used for internal operations. They have also completed native adaptation and are developed and deployed on multiple terminals at one time, realizing cross-terminal full-scene device interconnection and easy sharing of information and services across devices.

According to Huawei, Hongmeng native applications have now entered the full sprint stage, and all TOP 5000 applications have started Hongmeng native application development.

After HarmonyOS NEXT is opened for public beta, it will be able to cover most of the user's usage scenarios.
