IT Home reported on August 2 that Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a financial report conference call:Regulators have been approached to enable Apple Intelligence services in the European and Chinese markets.

During today's third quarter of fiscal year 2024 (Q2, ending June 29) conference call, when asked when the Apple Intelligence service would be launched in international markets, especially in Europe and China, Cook simply promised that Apple users around the world would be able to use Apple Intelligence, but did not provide more details.

Cook said that Apple has already contacted the regulatory authorities and will advance the deployment of Apple Intelligence based on the regulatory requirements of the local market.

IT Home translated Cook’s response as follows:

As you might guess, we have reached out to both regulators you mentioned. Our goal is to provide Apple Intelligence to all Apple users as quickly as possible. We must first understand the regulators' requirements before we can commit to achieving this goal and set a timeline to achieve it.
