According to Fast Technology on July 31, research firm Canalys today released global mobile phone market data for the second quarter of 2024.

The global market achieved double-digit growth in the quarter, with shipments reaching 288.9 million units, an increase of 12%, marking the third consecutive quarter of growth.

Specific rankings:

Samsung shipped 53.5 million units, accounting for 19% of the market share, ranking first;

Apple shipped 45.6 million units, accounting for 16% of the market share, ranking second;

Xiaomi shipped 42.3 million units, accounting for 15% of the market share, ranking third;

Vivo shipped 25.9 million units, accounting for 9% of the market share, ranking fourth;

Transsion shipped 25.5 million units, accounting for 9% of the market share, ranking fifth.

From the data, we can see that Samsung is still leading by a large margin, but the gap between Xiaomi and Apple is narrowing, and it may soon overtake.

However, this is also the "off-season" for the iPhone, and the third and fourth quarters are considered Apple's "peak season".

It is also worth noting that domestic manufacturers are still the big winners. Three of the top five are domestic manufacturers, with a total share of 33%.

vivo and Transsion currently have a large gap with the top three, and it is difficult for them to make a breakthrough in the short term.
