According to the plan, the first wave of public beta of HarmonyOS NEXT will be launched in August, the first batch of official versions and the second wave of beta versions will be released in the fourth quarter, and more models will be available next year.

HarmonyOS NEXT is also known as pure-blooded Hongmeng. It is a full-stack self-developed system base that abandons the traditional AOSP code and only supports the Hongmeng kernel and Hongmeng system applications, further improving the system fluency and security.

Through innovation in system architecture and deep integration of software, hardware, core and cloud, it brings a smooth native Hongmeng application experience and improves the overall performance of the device by 30%.

Yu Chengdong said that HarmonyOS NEXT originated from China and is independently controllable. Currently, it has more than 5,000 native applications started development and more than 1,500 applications are available on the Huawei App Store.
