On July 31, the Zhengzhou Municipal Housing Security and Real Estate Administration issued a notice that after research by the municipal government,The housing security department will no longer provide guidance on the sales prices of newly built commercial housing. Developers will sell according to their own pricing and go through the procedures for pre-sale (sales) permits (registration) for commercial housing.

Previously, Zhengzhou had cancelled purchase and sales restrictions. On September 12, 2023, the "Notice on Further Supporting Reasonable Housing Demand" issued by Zhengzhou City mentioned that the purchase restriction policy within the Second Ring Road and other restrictive regulations on housing consumption would be cancelled, and the restrictions on housing sales would be cancelled to support residents' rigid and improvement housing purchase needs.

According to the Zhengzhou Statistics Bureau, in the first half of this year, Zhengzhou's real estate development investment fell by 3.4% year-on-year, a decrease of 7.6 percentage points from the same period last year.
