It is not uncommon to use "yellow paint" on interactive objects and environmental elements in games as a navigation guide for players. Some players think it destroys the immersion of the game and makes players feel like someone is holding your hand and telling you where to go and what to do. This feeling is too "out of the game". Ubisoft will try to provide them with a solution.

According to PC Gamer, Ubisoft has confirmed that the "exploration mode" in the upcoming open-world game Star Wars: Outlaws will allow players to turn off the "guiding colors on core navigation elements" in the environment. This is not the first time Ubisoft has tried this, as it has previously added "exploration mode" to several games, especially the Assassin's Creed series.

The purpose of "Exploration Mode" is to try to make the process of discovering items and key NPCs more natural, reduce the player's dependence on the minimap or objective markers, and make the game more natural.

"Star Wars: Outlaws" will be released on August 30th and will be available on PS5, XSX and PC platforms.
