Since the launch of Samsung Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung's folding screen has brought us through 6 years. During these 6 years, Samsung has also gradually improved the form and technology of its own folding machine category.

——Game Testing

In terms of game testing, we chose two mobile games, "Honor of Kings" and "Genshin Impact", and tested them in an office environment with an indoor temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. During the test, we used the highest picture quality + highest frame rate for testing (with frame rate priority), and recorded the frame rate, power consumption, energy efficiency ratio and body heating performance in the game.

1. Honor of Kings

First, we tested the Honor of Kings mobile game. Under the extreme image quality and extremely high frame rate, we conducted a 5V5 team battle test for 15 minutes. The game frame rate was completely stable at the 120FPS level. There was no sense of lag on the screen. The average frame rate of the game was stable at 119.95FPS, which is close to full frame operation.

The average power consumption of the game is 3.24W, and the energy efficiency ratio is 37.02FPS/W.

After the game, the maximum temperature on the back of the body reached 40.7 degrees Celsius, and the high temperature area was mainly concentrated on the right side of the camera.

2. Genshin Impact

Then we tested the high-load "Genshin Impact" mobile game. In the highest picture quality + 60 frame rate mode, we ran a map test in Xumi City for 15 minutes. Using this 7.6-inch internal screen for testing, the game frame rate can be stabilized at 59.89FPS, and the frame rate is output in a straight line. Compared with the previous generation Z Fold 5, it is more stable.

In terms of power consumption, the average is only 4.05W, which is lower than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 straight-screen mobile phone. The energy efficiency ratio is 14.78FPS/W, which is even higher than that of the straight-screen mobile phone. It seems that Samsung has done a great job in heat dissipation this time, allowing powerful performance to be released in this high-load mobile game.
