Just last week, Kepler Interactive released the action game Flintlock: Siege of Dawn, and while it's always nice to have new games to play, A44 Games' latest title seems to have made a rather odd design decision by prohibiting players from earning achievements/trophies on the easiest difficulty.
This is mentioned on the difficulty selection screen at the start of the game. Players who choose the "Story" difficulty (one star) will see a message/warning image that says "Achievements cannot be obtained on Story difficulty."
While it's common to restrict certain achievements/trophies to certain difficulties, it's rarer to completely forbid players from earning any achievements by playing on the easiest mode.
Flintlock: Dawn Siege is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It currently has an overall score of 71 on Metacritic.
