release date

According to details shared by source Allround-pc, Samsung will release the first beta version of One UI 7 next Monday (July 29).

Icons deviate from the traditional Material Design aesthetic

In an article published today, IT Home showcased the possible design of Samsung One UI 7, which initially deviates from Google's Material Design scheme, with brighter colors, and the introduction of a subtle gradient effect, with a faint three-dimensional effect.

"Smart Capsule" Design

Samsung One UI 7.0 brings a pill-shaped “Smart Island” design, located on the left side of the notification area.

More circular UI elements

Samsung appears to be adopting more rounded elements throughout the UI. Settings, quick actions, notifications, and other widgets now have softer edges that match the redesigned icons.

Smoother animations

The media claims that Samsung has further improved the animation of One UI 7 to make it look smoother. However, since these findings are based on early software versions, the experience may change in subsequent updates.

Cross-device tasks

A major improvement in Samsung One UI 7 is the enhancement of cross-device tasks. After upgrading to One UI 7, Galaxy device users can make calls and video calls seamlessly across devices.

With a simple gesture, users can seamlessly switch a call on their Galaxy phone to their TV or Galaxy Tab tablet.

The app's continuity will be available on all Galaxy devices, and users will be able to not only transfer calls but also share cameras and storage space.

Two-page notification panel

This is probably the most controversial change in One UI 7.0. Samsung has adopted a similar design approach to Apple and Xiaomi, implementing a multi-page notification panel. This means that the drop-down menus for notifications and quick settings are separated, with notifications on the left and quick settings on the right.
