Recently, Enrique Cabeza, the creative director and screenwriter of Blasphemous, posted a picture of the weapon "Mea Culpa" (Blade of Sin) used by the protagonist Confessor in the game on social media, with the caption "Announcement is coming soon". Subsequently, the official account of Blasphemous also shared the picture and further confirmed that the mysterious announcement will be released soon.

Blasphemous is a Metroidvania game developed by Spanish game studio The Game Kitchen and published by Team17. The first game was released in 2019, and the sequel Blasphemous 2 was released in 2023. Considering that the first game received multiple free DLC support after its release, the mysterious announcement revealed by the official now is likely to be the DLC information of Blasphemous 2.
