BioWare has shared an update on the development of Dragon Age 4: Shadowkeep, revealing some unexpected details about the PC version.

"Dragon Age 4: Shadowkeep" has now passed the SteamDeck certification, which means it can run perfectly on the SteamDeck handheld. In addition, the official also announced that "Dragon Age 4" will launch a native version on Steam, and players can play this game on PC without using the EA App.

This is in stark contrast to EA's previous games, which required the EA App to be launched on PC. However, according to the Steam page of Dragon Age 4, this game still requires users to agree to a third-party user agreement.

BioWare also said it will provide more details about the game's release later this summer. The game is set to launch this fall on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
