BAIC BluePark: Nearly 1,000 Baidu's fifth-generation shared driverless cars have been delivered

IT Home reported on July 26 that on July 25, BAIC BluePark stated on an interactive platform that the company has completed the delivery of nearly 1,000 Baidu's fifth-generation shared driverless cars, mainly distributed in Wuhan, Beijing, and Guangzhou. The two parties will work together to ensure the autonomous driving testing and operation of these vehicles.


IT Home noticed that in April 2021, BAIC Arcfox signed a joint technology development agreement with Baidu Apollo Intelligent Driving Division. Based on the BAIC Arcfox Alpha T model,The two parties jointly completed the research and development of Baidu's fifth-generation Robotaxi product Apollo Moon, and demonstrated its fully unmanned autonomous driving technology in Shougang Park in October of the same year. Some of the "Robot Express" models currently on the market are Baidu's fifth-generation Robotaxi products.


On June 4, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other four departments jointly issued the "Intelligent Connected Vehicle Access and Road Passage Pilot Consortium". The first batch of companies to enter the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Access and Road Passage Pilot Consortium include Changan Automobile, BYD, GAC, SAIC,BAIC Blue Valley, FAW, SAIC Hongyan, Yutong Bus, and NIO.
