With reference to Silicon Beach’s model of integrating “production, life, and ecology,” Alibaba Group has built a digital technology “ecological island” for scientific and technological innovation companies, where they can “relax and breathe” in a forest environment - the WeiKe Alibaba Center.

The core area of the Future Science and Technology City where the project is located has planned a "world-class vibrant central axis": it includes heavyweight plans such as an international sports center, high-end complexes, large factory headquarters, an international business center, an art and cultural commercial district, an international waterfront cultural area and a citizen park.

Wei Ke Ali Center is surrounded by water on three sides, with Ali Park to the south. As one of the famous "camping resorts" in the west of the city, it covers an area of about 60,000 square meters with lush vegetation and aquatic plants.

During breaks at work, you can go out and experience the “20-minute park effect”: feel the sunshine and the breeze, and let the fresh air activate your dormant senses, breaking the “sleepy mode” and allowing energy to flow through your blood vessels again.

The project was designed by the world-renowned architectural firm GMP. It not only brought a "forest office" building that is both beautiful and practical, but also created "park business" in combination with outdoor ecology, constructing an "ecosystem" of park and business, and leading a new Work×Park lifestyle.

Wetland scenery can be seen through the window

Give you a wilderness to breathe freely

"Life is a wilderness, but people are trapped in high-rise buildings" is the helplessness of most office workers.

The Weike Ali Center aims to provide everyone with a space to breathe comfortably and relax through architectural design.

GMP has created the concept of "mountains and rivers as the veins, virtuality and reality coexisting" for the WeiKe Ali Center. The buildings are staggered in height, forming a group of interconnected buildings like mountains.

The structure of the building breaks the closed feeling of traditional high-rise buildings. It is unique yet can coexist harmoniously with the surrounding water system.

The entire park is divided into two parts, east and west, with a sunken plaza in the middle.

The distant mountain scenery is introduced into the interior of the building complex through Ali Park. The transparent courtyard layout not only integrates into the pleasant urban texture of Hangzhou, but also achieves ventilation between buildings and avoids the heat island effect.

The tops of the stepped buildings are all large terraces with full views. Compared with ordinary tower office buildings, they have more ventilation and lighting, and better views of the natural and urban landscapes. From now on, the wetland is a view visible from the window.

At the same time, green spaces are distributed in different forms in every corner of the park, forming a comprehensive ecological network. When you are stuck at work, you can just get up and open the door to breathe and relax comfortably among the greenery.

The WeiKe Ali Center is expected to be delivered and put into use by the end of 2024, and it will become the global headquarters of DingTalk.

In the future, in addition to DingTalk and its ecological enterprises moving into some buildings, some rental space will also be opened up, with flexible rental areas to meet various office needs.

"Breathing" natural park business

Work×Park New Urban Space

GMP, which has successfully built the Hangzhou Tower and GDA City Plaza, proposed the concept of "breathable natural park business" for the Weiko Ali Center: integrating architecture, interior and business into the natural park as much as possible, giving people a new experience of comfort and relaxation after work.

The lobby on the first floor is a glass box with a height of 12 meters. As the center of the park, it also has the attribute of being a popular check-in spot for internet celebrities. The sunken courtyard connects the park experience with business without boundaries through layered open spaces and rich plants.

In terms of business planning, the main themes are lifestyle, fine dining, tea and coffee lounge, and outdoor sports, bringing a park lifestyle with a sense of impromptu relaxation.

Ali Park and the surrounding water systems serve as outdoor amusement parks. Combined with trendy activities such as camping, skateboarding, open-air theaters, water sports, festivals and gatherings, they provide a "Getting Close to the Outdoors Picture Guide" for the young people of the Future Science and Technology City.
