Fast Technology reported on July 24 that today, Apple released iOS 18/iPadOS 18 Beta 4 to developers. This beta version continues to improve the existing functional experience.

In the new beta version, Apple has added new light mode and dark mode wallpapers for CarPlay.

On iOS 18, Apple supports color changing of app icons. Users can automatically switch between the system light and dark modes, making the icons appear in a unified theme color and matching corresponding wallpapers to make the entire interface more harmonious and unified.

control center

The new iOS 18 control center supports customization. Just like placing widgets on the desktop, the controls/switches in the control center can also be placed and resized at will.

In addition, the new version of the control center supports page turning, and Apple has opened the interface to third parties to facilitate developers to adapt the control center.

It is worth noting that in the latest beta version, the "Open Music Control Center" option has been removed by Apple.

Currently, iOS 18 Beta 4 is only available to registered developers. Apple will conduct a public beta test later, and the official version will be officially launched this fall.

In addition, as of now, Apple has not tested the Apple Intelligence intelligent system in iOS 18 Beta 4. Apple previously announced that Apple Intelligence will be launched in the fall.

It is reported that Apple Intelligence consists of multiple high-performance generative models, providing users with multiple AI functions, such as writing and refining text, prioritizing and summarizing notifications, creating interesting images for users' conversations with family and friends, and taking in-app actions to simplify interactions between apps.
