When asked to compare Grok with ChatGPT, Musk admitted: "The current version of Grok is still based on the training results of Grok 1. Although we have optimized and upgraded it and called it Grok 1.5, its basic model is still an order of magnitude behind ChatGPT in performance."

Peterson then asked Musk about the competitiveness of the next generation of AI chatbot models.
