The elderly couple who own the house are about to retire, and after careful design and construction, the old house has been given a brand new look.

The living room and dining room are merged and connected, making the space more open and comfortable; the bathroom is expanded to make it more convenient and practical; the hidden doors make the overall look more tidy and orderly.

basic information

110 sqm/ 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 bathrooms/ Modern style

Entrance Design

Pushing the door open, there is a shoe cabinet with a matte black top on the left, and a simple entrance cabinet on the right. The overall tone is mainly black and white.

The entrance cabinet not only stores things, but also brings in natural light and serves as a place for cats to hang out.

Living Room Design

The pure white walls allow sunlight to fill the entire space, and the wooden floor extends from the living room to the dining room.

The ceiling is specially treated with artistic paint, which contrasts with the low white ceiling and makes the room appear taller and more spacious.

The whole space is dominated by gray and white tones, with warm light and wooden cabinets, creating a sense of hierarchy. A hidden study room is also extended from the wall to meet the male owner's reading needs.

Considering the habits of cats, a cat jumping platform was built in the blank area beside the window. The TV wall is designed in an arc shape, which not only eliminates sharp corners but also blends well with the border of the top beam.

Kitchen Design

After the screen and appliance cabinet were remodeled, the kitchen and dining room space were effectively separated. The designer added a center island bar and straight cabinets according to the position of the shoe cabinet to form an additional kitchen area.

The side-by-side arrangement of the dining room and the island enhances the interaction between family members. The oval dining table and dining chairs allow family members to see both the kitchen and the TV in the living room.

Master bedroom design

The functional area and sleeping area of the master bedroom are clearly separated. The bed is placed in the most convenient position and decorated with lines to create a quiet and comfortable sleeping space.

The balcony entrance was replaced with a glass folding door, which blurs the boundary between indoor and outdoor when opened and closed, allowing sunlight and breeze to enter.

The metal strips on the headboard wall gleam in the light, and the mirrored stacks on either side of the bed add a touch of elegance.

Bathroom Design

The owner eliminated the private bathroom in the master bedroom and converted part of the space into a dressing room, added a half bathroom for visitors, expanded the guest bathroom, and optimized the layout and safety facilities.
