Ahead of Google’s upcoming hardware event on August 13, we’ve seen a number of leaks about upcoming devices, and today two new renders have been leaked showing the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL (the true successor to the Pixel 8 Pro in terms of size).

On August 13, Google's product lineup is about to get more confusing as it launches four new smartphones at once: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9Pro Fold.

The Pixel 9 Pro is not the successor to the Pixel 8 Pro, at least not in terms of size, as it is the same size as the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9, but it basically uses the configuration of the Pixel 9 Pro XL in a more compact body.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the successor to the original Pixel Fold launched last year, so this new naming method may take some time to get used to.

The recently leaked pricing is equally confusing at first glance, but here's the gist: some versions will be priced the same as their predecessors, but quite a few will increase in price.

The new renders don’t actually show us anything new. We already knew that the Pixel 9 will have one less camera than the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, and that the new device has a revamped rear camera module design.

A rumor last week detailed the cameras themselves, and all of these phones are expected to be powered by Google's next-generation Tensor G4 chip.
