On July 18, a screenshot of a "Letter to All Employees of Wahaha Group" circulated on the Internet. The content showed that Zong Fuli, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Wahaha Group, resigned from the above position and no longer participated in business management because some shareholders questioned the rationality of her business management, which made her unable to perform her management responsibilities.Regarding the authenticity of the document, a reporter from the Beijing News contacted the relevant person in charge of Wahaha. As of press time, the other party had not responded, and Wahaha had not issued any relevant response to the incident.

According to Tianyancha information, Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. has three shareholders, namely Hangzhou Shangcheng District Cultural, Commercial and Tourism Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. holding 46% of the shares, Wahaha founder Zong Qinghou holding 29.4% of the shares, and Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. Grassroots Trade Union Joint Committee (Employee Stock Ownership Association) holding 24.6% of the shares.

On July 18, a reporter from the Beijing News called Hangzhou Shangcheng District Cultural, Commercial and Tourism Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. The relevant staff said that they had learned about the matter through the Internet, but it still needed to be reported for verification.

The above document shows that "recently, the People's Government of Shangcheng District, Hangzhou City and some shareholders of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. have questioned the rationality of my (Zong Fuli) operation and management of Wahaha Group since the death of Chairman Zong Qinghou, which has made it impossible for me to continue to perform my management responsibilities for Wahaha Group and its holding companies. Therefore, I have decided to resign from the positions of Vice Chairman and General Manager of Wahaha Group from now on and will no longer participate in its operation and management." The Beijing News reporter noticed that the document was issued by Zong Fuli and signed with Zong Fuli's signature on July 15, 2024.

Zong Fuli entered the food and beverage industry in 2004 and has served as president of Hongsheng Beverage Group since 2007. She independently led Hongsheng to become one of the top 500 private enterprises in China. She has served as director of the Brand Public Relations Department of Wahaha Group since April 2018 and has also served as deputy general manager of Wahaha Group Sales Company since March 2020.

As the daughter of Zong Qinghou, Zong Fuli went abroad to study at a very young age and has a distinctive personality. After she became the head of the brand public relations department of Wahaha Group, she gave new life to single popular products such as Nutri-Express and AD calcium milk; and built a "Habao Paradise" to interact with consumers, laying the foundation for the digital upgrade of traditional brands. On December 9, 2021, Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. announced that Zong Fuli, the daughter of Wahaha founder Zong Qinghou, will serve as the company's vice chairman and general manager, responsible for daily work, effective immediately. This is another adjustment of Zong Fuli's position after she served as the head of the company's brand public relations department in 2018.
