Recently, Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios finally detailed the highly anticipated Patch 7 and hinted that this is not the final update for the game.

On the Steam page for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios has detailed the contents of Patch 7, which will be released in September. Highlights include updates to split-screen mode, a new evil ending animation, a ton of bug fixes, and an official mod tool.

The following is part of the content (please click to go to >> for the full announcement):

Split-screen mode updates

Dynamic Split Screen is coming soon! In our next update, friends will no longer be permanently confined to their own screen area - because the power of friendship transcends all barriers, including the lines that divide the screen.

In co-op mode, you will have the option to merge the split screen into a single screen when you are close to each other. You can access this option directly from the HUD and game settings, both in combat and outside of combat.

Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Toolkit

Along with this update, our official mod toolkit is also coming! Starting in September, you'll be able to load up a variety of new game mods, and try your hand at making some of your own.

Evil Ending

Of course, Patch 7 will also bring several new cinematics to provide an even grander ending to your evil game!

From the evil intentions of your avatar's origin character to the multiple different paths your own player character can take, each new animation sequence is waiting for you to discover through your wicked means.
