According to CCTV News, according to the annual plan and the consensus reached by China and Russia,Recently, the Chinese and Russian naval fleets carried out their fourth joint maritime cruise in relevant waters in the western and northern Pacific Ocean.

The Sino-Russian naval joint maritime patrol formation is composed of the Chinese Navy missile destroyer Yinchuan, the missile frigate Hengshui and the Russian Navy "Perfect" frigate. Both sides are equipped with ship-borne helicopters and special operations personnel. The formation has successively carried out inspection and arrest, helicopter mutual landing and other subject exercises in relevant waters in the northern and western Pacific Ocean. During the exercise, the inspection and arrest teams of both sides boarded the "suspicious ship" on ship-borne boats and formed a mixed inspection and arrest team to conduct searches. During the period, the officers and soldiers of both sides worked closely together to quickly control the important parts of the "suspicious ship" such as the cab and successfully escorted it to the designated waters. During the cruise, the Russian side also sent a liaison officer to board the Yinchuan ship, participated in the work of the joint cruise formation command post throughout the whole process, and carried out program discussions, exercise organization and review and summary with Chinese personnel to further strengthen communication, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Russian Navy Andrei:During this joint cruise, I was deeply impressed by the Chinese naval officers and soldiers. Their excellent combat qualities and professional level as well as the efficient coordination and cooperation between the officers and soldiers of both sides remain in my memory. It is precisely because of the mutual support and efficient coordination between the two sides that the two sides have a better understanding of each other, a deeper friendship, and a solid foundation for carrying out joint operations.

This joint cruise is the fourth joint maritime cruise organized by China and Russia since 2021. The Chinese and Russian joint fleet set sail from the waters near the south of Jeju Island, crossed the Osumi Strait, sailed south through the western Pacific Ocean, and entered the South China Sea from the Balintang Strait. During the cruise, the Chinese and Russian naval officers and soldiers cooperated tacitly and efficiently to successfully complete the assigned tasks. This operation is not directed at any third party and has nothing to do with the current international and regional situation.

Wang Guangzheng, Navy Commander of the Southern Theater Command:This China-Russia joint cruise has promoted the deepening and practical cooperation between the two sides in multiple directions and fields, and effectively enhanced the ability of both sides to jointly respond to maritime security threats.
