[Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On July 16, CITIC Securities released a research report that detailed the significant progress of Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot since its debut at Tesla AI Day in 2021. As of May 2024, Optimus Gen2 has outstanding performance, with a walking speed of about 0.6m/s, a total body weight reduction of more than 10kg, and a walking speed increase of more than 30%. In addition, the robot's degrees of freedom have increased, and its balance ability, full body control, and finger flexibility have all been significantly improved.


At the application level, the latest iteration of Optimus demonstrated its ability to perform basic factory tasks such as battery cell sorting and power tool use. These application examples highlight Optimus's technological breakthroughs in precision operation and autonomous working capabilities, laying a solid foundation for its wide application in the future.

At the same time, domestic manufacturers are also actively deploying in the field of humanoid robots. According to the Tianyancha App, there are currently 716,700 robot-related companies in my country. Among them, domestic companies such as Yushu, Fourier, Zhiyuanyuanzheng, Xiaomi, and Dreame Technology have successively launched their own humanoid robot products, demonstrating the country's R&D strength and market potential in this field.

In its research report, CITIC Securities suggested that the humanoid robot industry chain is expected to fully utilize the advantages of the automotive industry chain to achieve product category expansion and spillover of competitiveness. This forecast is based on the strong foundation of the automotive industry chain in manufacturing, supply chain and technology accumulation, providing strong support for the further development of humanoid robots.
