Nandu News reporter Sun Xiaopeng and correspondent Hua Xuan Waiting for the university admission letter to be delivered should be the concern of college entrance examination candidates recently. Unlike most candidates who wait for the postman to come to their door, Tu Sulan, who was admitted to the Chemistry Department (Strengthening Basics Program Class) of South China University of Technology, and Zhong Mingcheng, Wang Yunyi, and Li Jinquan, who were admitted to the Sports Training Department, are waiting for their admission letters to fall from the sky today.

It turns out that as one of the highlights of the Guangzhou Post's low-altitude economy launch, Guangzhou Post and South China University of Technology have explored the use of drones to deliver college entrance examination admission notices to candidates this year. On the morning of July 15, a drone carrying admission notices for four people took off from South China University of Technology and landed in the residential area where Tu Sulan lives after about 30 minutes. The postal staff here took the notices directly from the drone and handed them over to the four students, which also marked the complete success of the first batch of drones in the country to deliver college entrance examination admission notices.

It is understood that the four letters of admission carried by this drone are both the first batch of undergraduate admission letters mailed by South China University of Technology in 2024, and the first batch of admission letters delivered by Guangzhou universities by Guangzhou Post this year.

The first letter of admission recipient is looking forward to starting a free academic journey of exploration at Huayuan

As the recipient of the first admission letter from a university in Guangzhou in 2024, Tu Sulan was so excited that she could not express it in words. The drone not only delivered the admission letter, but also brought blessings and expectations from South China University of Technology. She graduated from Guangzhou No. 7 Middle School and is about to study in the chemistry major of South China University of Technology. She said that she fell in love with chemistry from the first time she took a chemistry class and saw the iron wire burning in the teacher's hands and shining brightly. She loves the wonderful chemical reactions and the sense of accomplishment when doing experiments by herself, "It's like the knowledge in the textbook has come alive."

The delivery of admission letters by drones made Tu Sulan feel the full sense of technology at South China University of Technology. This also made her full of longing for future campus life. "I want to start an academic journey of free exploration in Huayuan. I want to experience doing experiments, studying, volunteering, and club activities with my tutor. In the future, I want to become a scientific researcher or a chemistry teacher."

In recent years, Guangzhou Post has continued to explore and upgrade the delivery service of college entrance examination admission notices. The first national drone delivery of college entrance examination admission notices was successful. The post has started a comprehensive and systematic logistics network planning and layout: on the basis of the existing aviation, railway and road transportation networks, a low-altitude drone transportation network is planned and deployed to form a comprehensive and three-dimensional transportation network, and strive to create an excellent ecological environment for the integrated development of the low-altitude economy.

As a typical representative of new productivity, the postal service will continue to verify the application of large drones in the actual scenarios of low-altitude economy, and do more to improve the delivery speed of party newspapers and periodicals, the delivery of daily important documents and letters, and assist the national emergency security work. At the same time, it will also accelerate the application of public services and rural revitalization, such as mail transportation in remote mountainous areas, transportation of emergency materials, delivery of medical emergency drugs, distribution of agricultural products, etc.

The notice paper is a domestically produced aramid paper developed to overcome the "bottleneck" technology

The student entrepreneurship and innovation team designed the outer box, the teacher team designed the layout, and the scientific research team of the National Engineering Research Center provided domestically produced aramid paper developed to overcome the "bottleneck" technology... Nandu reporters learned that this year's undergraduate admission letter of South China University of Technology is very distinctive, full of creativity and thoughtfulness.

According to reports, the paper used for the admission letter is a high-performance meta-aramid paper developed by the team of the National Engineering Research Center for Papermaking and Pollution Control of South China University of Technology after more than ten years of technical research and breaking the monopoly of foreign core technologies. The meta-aramid honeycomb paper and meta-aramid insulation paper developed by this team have been applied in large quantities in the fields of national defense, aerospace, rail transportation, new energy, etc., providing lightweight protection for large aircraft and space stations, and providing high-reliability insulation protection for high-speed train traction transformers and motors, and wind power generators.

The admission letter adopts the internationally advanced JURA pattern design system, which cleverly combines curves and geometry. The thickness and density of the lines give the picture a dynamic feel, with clear layers and smooth and rich patterns, bringing a unique visual effect and artistic beauty. It is worth mentioning that if you use a purple light to illuminate the back of the admission letter, it will be gorgeously transformed into a "palace of knowledge" and a "gate to the future". Going up the hundred-step staircase, the two sides are brightly fluorescent and starry, with a full sense of technology and the future.

In addition, the admission letter box was designed by the Guanghengzou student team of South China University of Technology. It uses the solemn red as the base tone and the carp swimming in the four seasons as the source of inspiration, implying that the new students of Huayuan will leap over the dragon gate and have a bright future. The box surface cleverly integrates the landmarks and characteristic elements of Huayuan, with red kapok and poinciana interwoven in the word "SCUT", telling the red gene and campus culture of the school, hoping that students will grow as brilliantly as Danxia.
