According to IT Home on July 15, storage module company Apacer announced on June 27 the launch of a memory bar "safety belt" for edge artificial intelligence (IT Home Note: Edge AI) hardware - a rugged fixed belt for DRAM modules.

The transportation and application environment of edge AI hardware products is usually harsh and prone to continuous vibration. During these processes, memory modules may inadvertently fall out of the DIMM slots, affecting the operational safety and performance of the system.

In view of this, the Apacer team developed a DRAM module strong fixing belt, which adopts a seat belt-like design and can quickly, conveniently and effectively fix the DRAM module to the corresponding DIMM slot.

Apacer's DRAM module rugged fixing strap adoptsThree-point fixed designCompared with the traditional double-side contact clamp, it has higher stability and wider compatibility.

In addition, the fixing belt is based on polysiloxane (a kind of silicone resin) material, which has high elasticity and high flexibility. Can withstand low temperatures and high temperatures up to 200°C, and is fully insulated, eliminating the risk of PCB short circuits.

Apacer said that its DRAM module rugged fixing strap supports non-ECC UDIMM, ECC UDIMM and RDIMM memory sticks, and has passed the MIL-STD-833K and MIL-STD-810G military-grade vibration and shock tests.
